Leave No One Behind (LNOB)

Under the Leave No One Behind (LNOB) initiative by UNDP, the Conflict Victim Women National Network (CVWN) implemented the NAP Implementation and Women Skill Development project in Kailali District, Sudurpaschim Province, Nepal. This initiative directly benefited 15 conflict-affected women, focusing on enhancing their livelihoods and strengthening their capacity for meaningful engagement in advocacy and local development. The project aligned with Nepal's implementation of NAP 1325/1820 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 5, 10, and 16.

The primary goal of the project was to empower conflict-affected women by enhancing their skills and raising awareness about transitional justice and NAP 1325/1820. With an inclusive approach, it prioritized marginalized groups, including Dalits, Tharu, indigenous communities, persons with disabilities, and survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Key activities included orientation programs on transitional justice and NAP, livelihood training, and collaboration with local government bodies. Through these efforts, participants were encouraged to take on leadership roles and contribute to sustainable development within their communities.

By fostering leadership and business development, the project equipped women with the necessary tools and confidence to establish small enterprises and actively participate in decision-making processes. The initiative emphasized sustainability by promoting partnerships between local governments, conflict victim networks, and community organizations. Through this transformative program, CVWN strengthened women's voices, self-reliance, and socio-economic independence while contributing to the meaningful implementation of NAP 1325/1820 at the grassroots level. The project was successfully completed in October 2023, after running from December 2022 to October 2023.
