Pathways to Gender-responsive Justice: Strengthening Capacities of Duty Bearers and Right Holders project aimed to empower key stakeholders, particularly at the local level, by enhancing their understanding and engagement in the implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) II on Women, Peace, and Security. It sought to foster collaboration between duty bearers and conflict-affected women, ensuring inclusive and effective justice mechanisms.
Key project activities included five orientation events in each province to familiarize local government officials with NAP II, promoting informed governance and accountability. Additionally, dialogue sessions between conflict victims and key stakeholders were conducted in three provinces to create spaces for mutual learning and understanding. These efforts contributed to building a gender-responsive and just society by addressing the challenges faced by conflict-affected women and amplifying their voices in decision-making processes. Implemented in partnership with the Legal Aid and Consultancy Center, the project ran from July to December 2024 and has been successfully completed.
