The Conflict Victim Women National Network (CVWN) is dedicated to providing holistic support for survivors of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV) in Nepal through the Rise Together: Advocacy and Support for CRSV project. This comprehensive initiative empowers survivors by addressing their legal, psychosocial, and economic needs, helping them recover from trauma, achieve financial independence, and engage actively in advocacy for reparations and justice. Central to this project is the promotion of survivor-led leadership and participation, ensuring that their voices and experiences shape national-level policies on reparations.
The project offers a range of tailored services, including medical and psychological care, individual counseling sessions, and income-generation programs that enable survivors to rebuild their lives with dignity. Through leadership training, survivors gain vital skills to engage in community mobilization and advocacy campaigns, especially related to the National Action Plan II (NAP II) and the broader reparations movement. Intergenerational dialogues between first- and second-generation conflict victims further foster understanding and solidarity, addressing structural challenges and strengthening collective advocacy efforts.
CVWN also prioritizes survivor-led advocacy by organizing strategic discussions on safety insurance mechanisms, conducting legal reviews, and producing educational materials, such as informative booklets, case stories, and survivor profiles. These efforts aim to amplify survivor voices, raise public awareness, and strengthen the national movement for justice and reparations. Through these comprehensive actions, CVWN seeks to empower CRSV survivors as champions of change, contributing meaningfully to a more just and inclusive society in Nepal. This project is being implemented in partnership with REDRESS and is ongoing.
